Travel Review - Manchinabele

If you are in Bangalore and you feel sick and tired of the mundane routines on work days, you need a break. When you think of a break and your busy schedule, you feel you just need to run away to a quiet place, relax and come back rejuvenated. Does this seem to be a dream or a fantasy? Oh yes would be your first reaction. However, my friend, your dream and fantasy can become real. There is a getaway near Bangalore that you can think of. It is only an hour’s drive towards Mysore.

Welcome to Manchinabele Reservoir! Basking in the sun, surrounded by small rocky hills, is the Manchinabele reservoir. It is a very quiet and serene place. It is ideal for picnics. Stay is not recommended since there are no hotels or homestays nearby. Approximate distance from Bangalore is 40 km. You need to drive down on the Mysore state highway and take a right after the Raja Rajeshwari Dental college and proceed further till Chandrappa circle. Enroute, you may also stop at the big banyan tree. From Chandrappa circle, you may take a left and proceed till you see the reservoir. You can take your vehicle till near the waters. However, please exercise caution so that your activities do not have an adverse impact on the environment and your safety. Please feel free to carry your own picnic bag.  Boating is not permitted. Please be cautious if you are taking kids along with you. Do not allow them to go close to the waters. You may also need to take permission to see the dam. But the place is very quiet, you can relax and spend some time and come back.

How to become a good Travel Journalist

Travel Journalism is an interesting option for a career especially for the travel inclined personality. If you are interested in travelling and also writing about it to share your experiences, then Travel Journalism is for you. It takes time to establish yourself, however, the prospect of going and seeing places will definitely make you want to write more on your travel.

Here are some key tips you can use to start your career:

1) Think about your most recent travel. The memories would be fresh and it would be easier for you to start writing on it.

2) Start writing in the language you are most comfortable with.

3) Choose a publisher - to start with you may not expect good returns, but if there is a publisher who can publish it and still pay you enough for it, then there is nothing better than it. However, in order to gain some experience, I would first suggest that you start blogging about your travel on some websites that gives you the facility for free. Then as you gain experience, you can really count on sites and magazines that pay you for what you write.

So enjoy... travel journalism.. convert your hobby to money.
